AQELIOS grew out of this need to manage the work. Its role is to retain useful context and make work understandable from the initial request through to the outcome.
Illustrative example using fictional data: a colleague takes over a case during an absence. Within her authorised scope, she reviews its status, the information available, the next step and the deadline. She can see what has been done and what still needs a decision.
Developed in French-speaking Switzerland for medical practices and SMEs, AQELIOS prioritises simplicity and human control. Connections to existing tools support this role; they depend on the technical capabilities and permissions available.

No. Medical software retains its specialised functions. AQELIOS is designed to manage requests, responsibilities, actions and follow-up across the team. A secure email service such as HIN retains its role in medical communications. Any connection of these tools to AQELIOS is assessed separately, according to the available interfaces, permissions and agreed scope. The current conditions for using patient data are set out in the Medical practice section.
The team retains the decisions and approvals defined for each workflow. AQELIOS is designed to prepare and coordinate actions within the permissions granted and the features activated. The intended outcome is a clear view of what is proposed, what awaits a decision and what has actually been carried out.
